Lightscape Musicale have launched a unique garden lighting system that can brighten the winter gloom by creating stunning effects and spectacular shows with the option of musical accompaniment. The Lightscape system can also be installed inside the house to create a special atmosphere in each room.

The wireless-operated system is designed to help householders maximise the enjoyment of their homes and gardens all year round. Instead of coming home to a dreary, withered-looking garden they can gain pleasure from an infinite variety of lighting effects and sequences to suit their mood.

Customers have complete control over their garden lighting, and by switching into audio mode can also add different types of music ranging from classical to rock or dance depending on the occasion!

Hugh Callacher, director and founder of Lightscape Musicale, says: "It's eight years since I originally had the idea for this kind of garden theatre, so it's taken years of investment and hard work to refine the concept and bring it to fruition."

"My first experiments involved creating lighting effects on water. I remember sitting for hours at a conventional light desk working with knobs and dimmer packs entangled in miles of cable. From there we have advanced to a wireless intelligent and user friendly system with musical accompaniment which I'm sure will prove popular throughout the world for many diverse applications."

The bulk of the development work has taken place over a three-year period with the help of a Department of Trade and Industry Smart Award. The system - which aims to keep gardens colourful, alive and vibrant all year round - will be launched following the end of British Summer Time on 29 October, 2006.

The Lightscape system is easily installed, and up to 96 lights can be individually controlled to provide combinations of static and dynamic lighting effects, with cross-fading and sequencing effects. The remote-controlled system can also be used for safety and security purposes, providing lighting on driveways and at entrances.
